How We Work

A process built on trust, transparency and long-term partnership

We’re intentional about every project we take on. Here’s exactly what working with Chaze Films looks like — from the very first conversation to final delivery and beyond.

Why Process Matters

Great video doesn’t happen by accident — it happens by design

A well-run production process is what separates a great experience from a stressful one. We’ve refined our approach over 10+ years so that every client — no matter the project size — knows exactly what to expect and never feels lost or out of the loop.

We also believe in selectivity. We don’t take on every project that comes our way. Our intro call isn’t just us pitching you — it’s a genuine conversation to make sure working together will be great for both sides.

Step by Step

Our 5-step process — from first call to final delivery

Every engagement follows this framework. The scope and timeline vary by project, but the principles stay the same: be prepared, be transparent, and deliver work that moves the needle.

1
No Commitment Required

Intro Call — Let’s Make Sure We’re the Right Fit

Before we talk scope, budget, or production — we have a relaxed, honest conversation. We want to learn about your business, your goals, and what you’re hoping video can do for you. And we’ll be upfront about whether we think we can genuinely help.

This matters because we’re not just looking for clients — we’re looking for long-term partners. Some of our best client relationships started with a 30-minute call and have lasted years.

📞
30-minute call

Relaxed, no-pressure conversation about your goals and vision.

👥
Mutual evaluation

We assess fit as much as you do — that’s what makes it work long-term.

Clear next step

Whether we move forward or not, you’ll leave the call knowing where things stand.

🔒
No sales pressure

We don’t hard-sell. If it’s a fit, we’ll both know — naturally.

“We’re selective about who we work with because we build long-term partnerships. The intro call is just the start of what we hope becomes a great relationship.” — Chaze Films

2
Strategy & Planning

Discovery — We Dig Into Your Goals

Once we’re aligned on moving forward, we go deep. We want to understand your business as well as you do — your target audience, your brand voice, your competitive landscape, your existing content, and most importantly, what success looks like for this project.

If your project includes a video strategy component, this is where we develop your full content roadmap — defining which video types to produce, what message each needs to deliver, and where and how each video will be distributed.

🔍
Audience deep-dive

Who are you trying to reach, and what do they need to see to trust you?

📚
Content roadmap

Which videos, in which order, for which stages of the customer journey.

🎯
Goal definition

We define what success looks like — measurable, specific, realistic.

🔁
Distribution planning

Where will each video live — website, social, email, paid ads?

Before the Camera Turns On

Pre-Production — Where Great Productions Are Made

Most of the work that makes a production successful happens before shoot day. Pre-production is where we handle every logistical and creative detail so that when we arrive on set, everyone knows the plan, the environment is ready, and we can focus entirely on capturing great content.

This phase is especially important for clients who have team members going on camera for the first time. We take the time to prepare your team — reviewing talking points, advising on wardrobe and set design, and running through any teleprompter scripts so no one is reading cold on the day.

📄
Script & talking points

Developed collaboratively — we write, you refine, everyone arrives prepared.

📍
Location scouting

We assess your location in advance for lighting, acoustics, and visual composition.

📅
Detailed call sheet

Everyone knows the schedule, what to wear, where to be, and when.

🎥
Shot list & gear prep

Every shot planned in advance — no guessing on set, no missed moments.

Production — Professional, Personable, and Efficient

The shoot day is where everything comes together. Our team arrives fully prepared, sets up quickly, and creates an environment where your people feel comfortable on camera — even if it’s their first time. We direct with confidence but never make anyone feel like they’re on a movie set.

We’re efficient with your time and we work fast. Most clients are surprised by how smooth and even enjoyable the shoot day is. That’s not an accident — it’s the result of exceptional pre-production.

Post-Production & Beyond

Delivery — Polished, Ready to Perform, and Ready to Distribute

Our post-production process is thorough and transparent. We share a first cut with you, gather your feedback using a streamlined review tool, and incorporate your notes efficiently. Most projects require only one or two rounds of revisions because we understand your vision before we start editing.

When your video is approved, we deliver it in every format you need — broadcast quality for your website, optimized versions for social platforms, and cut-downs for ads. And we don’t just hand it over and disappear. We’re here for ongoing support.

Color grading

Cinematic color that matches your brand and elevates your story.

🔊
Sound mix & music

Broadcast-level audio polish and licensed music selection.

📡
Multi-platform delivery

Optimized exports for web, social, ads, and broadcast.

💬
Ongoing relationship

We stay available and invested in your content long after delivery.

Keeping it simple: You see a first cut, you give us notes, we refine it. Most clients are thrilled in one or two rounds. No endless revision cycles, no scope creep — just a clean, professional delivery.

Common Questions

Questions about our process

How long does the process take from first call to final delivery?+
Timelines vary by project scope, but a typical corporate video or testimonial package takes 3–5 weeks from kickoff to delivery. Larger campaigns with multiple videos may take 6–10 weeks. We set clear timelines in writing before we begin.
What’s the difference between a strategy engagement and just a production booking?+
A production booking means you already know what videos you need and you’re ready to make them. A strategy engagement means we help you figure out which videos to make and why before we start producing. Many clients benefit from a brief strategy phase even if they have a general idea of what they want.
Does Chaze Films handle the editing and post-production too?+
Yes — always. We handle the entire project from concept to delivery. You get one team, one point of contact, and a fully finished video ready to publish. We never hand off raw footage for someone else to edit.
What if I need revisions after the first cut?+
All of our projects include two rounds of revisions. In practice, most clients are very happy with the first cut because we invest so heavily in pre-production alignment. If you need further changes, we handle them at an hourly rate outlined in your contract.
Do you work with clients outside of Boston or on-property projects?+
Yes. While we’re based in Boston and work extensively throughout New England, we regularly travel for shoots. If your project is outside the region, travel costs are outlined clearly in the proposal so there are no surprises.
