Boston Event Video Production – An event video can do more than show that people attended and had a good time. It can capture what the experience actually meant to the people who were there.
Chaze Films filmed a Lunar New Year celebration for the holistic physical therapy practice now known as PhyziX in Natick, Massachusetts. Along with capturing b-roll throughout the event, we interviewed attendees to incorporate their experiences and perspectives into the finished video.
The result combined an event highlight video with authentic testimonials to showcase the celebration, the people behind it and the sense of community surrounding the practice.
This video was produced prior to PhyziX’s rebrand and features the company’s branding used at the time of production.
Capturing More Than an Event Recap
Event videos often rely heavily on b-roll: people arriving, conversations, activities, food, decorations and the moments happening throughout the day.
Those visuals were important for this Lunar New Year event, but we also wanted viewers to hear from the people experiencing it.
We interviewed a mixture of clients and attendees about the event, their experiences with the practice and what stood out to them.
Those conversations gave the finished video something that event footage alone couldn’t provide: context.
Instead of simply showing people interacting and enjoying themselves, the testimonials helped explain why the gathering mattered and what attendees valued about the community.
Connecting the Event Back to the Brand
The Lunar New Year celebration wasn’t disconnected from the organization hosting it.
Throughout the video, attendees talk about meeting new people, feeling welcomed and their experiences with the practice. The interviews also help connect the event back to the larger sense of community the organization wanted to create.
That made the finished piece useful as both an event highlight video, testimonials and a brand-building video.
Someone unfamiliar with the practice could see the celebration while also getting a better sense of the people, relationships and community behind the business.
Creating Content to Promote Future Events
The finished video wasn’t only intended to recap what had already happened.
The content was also used as promotional material for the following Lunar New Year event, allowing prospective attendees to see what they could expect by showing them a previous celebration through both event footage and firsthand perspectives.
We also created shorter snippets from the content that could be used through social media marketing.
This approach gives event video production a longer purpose beyond documenting a single day.
When interviews and testimonials are captured alongside event b-roll, the finished content can help tell the story of the event, reinforce the organization’s brand and provide promotional material for future events.
For PhyziX, the combination of celebration footage and attendee perspectives helped turn a Lunar New Year recap into a video about something larger: community and connection.
